Letter: Community support for luncheon pays off

EDITOR:

Many, many thanks to the remarkable and dedicated people who made Arizona Women's Education & Employment (AWEE)'s annual Baubles, Bags and Bling luncheon a success.

Our major sponsors were APS, National Bank, Buz and Judy Davies, Bank of America, The Fain Signature Group, Yavapai-Prescott Indian Tribe, Regina and Ron Younger, Sheila and Tom Polk, and Linda and Jim Lee, who made the event possible with guidance and leadership from the Yavapai Advisory Council.

Fancy That! assisted in creating the dazzling display of baubles, bags and bling with support from more than 90 local businesses providing in-kind donations.

We were inspired by the compelling stories of AWEE's Faces of Success, Tonya Clark and Karolynn Duncan, and we were truly moved by the Barbara Jean Polk Spirit of Volunteerism Awardees Nancy Rees and Carl Brown and their lasting impact on the local community.

AWEE has been "changing lives through the dignity of work" for more than 25 years in Yavapai County. It is because of the generous community support we receive that AWEE works!
