Yavapai County Sheriff's detectives have arrested 17 people on charges they sold methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine and prescription medications in Prescott Valley, Dewey/Humboldt, Mayer and Spring Valley.
The Sheriff's Dept. is now seeking the public's help to find three more suspects, said Dwight D'Evelyn, Yavapai County Sheriff's Office spokesman.
In July, detectives with the Special Crimes Unit identified 13 suspects in meth sales around Mayer and Cordes Lakes. Since then, detectives followed up on leads, arresting 17 more suspects and are seeking Mariaha Wilson, Clayton Medd and Daniel Hoorman, D'Evelyn said.
Anyone who has information about where to find Wilson, Medd or Hoorman should call YCSO at 928-771-3260 or Yavapai Silent Witness at 1-800-932-3232.
Detectives confirmed Wilson, 19, sold cocaine in May and morphine pills in June in the Cordes Junction area, D'Evelyn said. Detectives seek to arrest Wilson on drug sales charges. She is known to frequent a home on Aztec Trail in Cordes Lakes.
Detectives monitored alleged sales of hydrocodone pills in July by Medd, 20, from a home on Mesa Verde Road in Cordes Lakes. In November, detectives arrested Patricia Medd for drug sales at the home, but Clayton Medd could not be located. Detectives are seeking information as to his whereabouts for two counts of narcotic sales.
Detectives monitored the alleged sales of methamphetamine by Hoorman, 45, in July and August at a home in the 12900 block of Main Street in Mayer, D'Evelyn said. Since the investigation concluded, detectives have not been able to locate Hoorman and are seeking him for charges including two counts of possession of dangerous drugs for sales.
The 17 suspects were arrested on charges ranging from possession of drug paraphernalia to possession of dangerous drugs for sale and possession of narcotic drugs for sale.
In a majority of the prescription medications sales, detectives learned suspects obtained their pills through state-funded programs to re-sell, and this evidence was turned over to state authorities D'Evelyn said.
Richard Strouse, 48, was booked on charges including sales of narcotics (hydrocodone) and sales of dangerous drugs (meth), and remains in custody on a $25,000 bond. A deputy booked Jack Wilson, 50, of Humboldt on charges of possession of dangerous drugs for sale (meth).
Due to health issues, Cathy Hale, 58, received a court summons for sales of narcotic drugs (Vicodin). Hale obtains drugs from prescriptions through a state-sponsored healthcare program, and state officials have been notified, D'Evelyn said.
A deputy booked Leslie Rush, 24, into the Yavapai County Jail in Camp Verde on charges of sales of dangerous drugs and possession of dangerous drugs after detectives monitored two alleged separate sales of meth by Rush at a convenience store on Highway 69 in Mayer, D'Evelyn said.
Detectives arrested Vincent Castillo, 23 of Cordes Lakes on charges including narcotics sales (hydrocodone). Due to health issues, Castillo was released pending a court summons, D'Evelyn said.
Greg Bell, 45, of Cordes Lakes has been charged with possession of dangerous drugs for sale (meth), possession of narcotic drugs for sale (Vicodin), and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bell was already in custody on a probation violation.
Will Medd, 46, remains in custody on a probation violation and is charged with possession of narcotics for sale (Vicodin). Medd obtains his medications at no cost from a state-sponsored prescription program, D'Evelyn said. A deputy booked Patricia Medd, 43, into jail on charges of sales of a narcotic drug (oxycodone), and she remains in custody on a 20,000 bond, D'Evelyn said.
Marquise Isomi, 28, is in the county jail on charges of possession of narcotic drugs (Vicodin) for sale and remains in custody on a $20,000 bond, D'Evelyn said. Detectives arrested Shannon Reyes, 32, on charges of possession of dangerous drugs for sale (meth).
Detectives arrested Dean Parker, 63, of Cordes Lakes on charges of possession of dangerous drugs (meth) for sale, but due to health conditions, he received a summons, D'Evelyn said. Chris Wood, 27, of Mayer was booked into the county jail on charges of possession for sales of a narcotic drug (heroin) and remains in custody on a $23,000 bond, D'Evelyn said.
Calvin Ballard, 31, of Mayer, Jimmy Guinard, 49, of Cordes Lakes, and William Ulery, 54, of Cordes Lakes were booked for possession of dangerous drug for sale (meth) and remain in custody each on a $25,000 bond, D'Evelyn said.
Nick Crandall, 22, of Prescott Valley was booked for counts of possession of dangerous drugs for sale (meth) and possession of a narcotic drug for sale (heroin). Robert Desmarais, 50, was charged with possession of dangerous drugs for sale (meth) and was already in custody at Camp Verde on unrelated charges, D'Evelyn said.
