PRESCOTT - The Highlands Center for Natural History's annual Holiday Open House and Artisans Bazaar takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19.

The center is located at 1375 Walker Road on the Prescott National Forest, a few miles south of Costco in Prescott.

Come and meet local artisans who will be selling their creations including metal sculptures, handcrafted linens, silk and natural fiber accessories and clothing, jewelry, wooden art, and other unique items.

A special shopping area will be open just for kids to give them the opportunity to shop for items for their family and friends that cost a maximum of $10.

Santa's helpers will giftwrap purchases for free, and treats and hot chocolate will be available.

People who bring canned goods will be entered into a drawing for a 20 percent discount on their Nature Store purchases Saturday. All donated goods will go to the Open Door charity.

For more information, call the center at 776-9550 or visit highlandscenter.org.

All store proceeds and part of the Artisans Bazaar sales will benefit the Highlands Center's children's outdoor educational programs.
