ADOT expects lane Closures at I-17/Cordes Junction interchange
As a part of a $50 million project to reconstruct the Cordes Junction traffic interchange, the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) will continue night work on Interstate 17 and Highway 69 next week.
According to an ADOT news release, the closures and restrictions include:
Northbound I-17 will be narrowed to one lane from 7 p.m. Monday to 6 a.m. Thursday, as crews prepare to pave a median crossover in preparation for a traffic shift on southbound I-17.
Southbound I-17 will be narrowed to one lane from 7 p.m. Monday to 6 a.m. Thursday.
Southbound Highway 69 will be narrowed to one lane from 7 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday, as crews will be placing a concrete barrier and re-striping the highway approaching I-17.
Northbound Highway 69 will be narrowed to one lane periodically from 7 p.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. Friday, as crews continue placing barrier and re-striping the roadway.
ADOT is advising drivers to proceed through the work zone with caution, comply with the reduced speed limit and be alert for construction equipment and personnel. The reduced speed limits are: 45 miles per hour on Highway 69; and 65 miles per hour on I-17.
