United Animal Friends cat adoption event Sunday features Totally Terrific Tabbies

United Animal Friends (UAF) hopes a special adoption event will result in finding homes for dozens of tabby cats and kittens. UAF is hosting "Totally Terrific, Totally Tabby" from10 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Sunday at Kitty City in Petco.

Reduced adoption fees for that day will be just $35 for adult cats and $50 for kittens to approved homes.

While "tabby" is not a specific breed, the term refers to varied coat patterns including swirl, striped, marble and spotted. Colors range from black, grey and brown to orange and red. There are tabbies found in many breeds including Maine Coons, American shorthair and even tabby-point Siamese.

In connection with the adoption event, UAF will be selling baked goods.

All UAF cats are altered when old enough, have tested negative for feline AIDS and leukemia, and are up to date with vaccinations. For adoption information, email Allie at, call 632-5144, or visit Kitty City this Sunday.
