Prescott police seek suspect in armed robbery at C-Stop
Prescott police seek the public's help finding a suspect who held a clerk at gunpoint and robbed the C-Stop convenience store May 14.
"We initially were following up on a lead, but it basically ran dry, and now we're looking for that help," said Lt. Andy Reinhardt, spokesman for the Prescott Police Department.
At 10 p.m., the clerk of the convenience store in the 300 block of Grove Avenue called police to report that a masked gunman robbed him at gunpoint then fled with an undisclosed amount of money, Reinhardt said.
Minutes after the robbery occurred, officers established a perimeter around the business and checked the surrounding area, but did not find the suspect, Reinhardt said. Detectives also helped in the investigation.
Surveillance video captured the robbery and showed that the suspect held a dark colored semi-automatic handgun and wore a beige ski mask, a zipped-up leather jacket, athletic pants and athletic shoes.
