Obituary: Candice Marie (Allan) Shea

Candy, of Gilbert, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2011, due to medical complications from a two-week stay in the hospital for a serious illness. Candy was the daughter of Dick and Martha Allan of Prescott. She was born Sept. 1, 1957, in Phoenix, Ariz. She graduated from Phoenix Alhambra High School. She then went on to attend Arizona State University, where she graduated from the College of Architecture. Her education took her into the semi-conductor industry, in which she was an accomplished construction project manager.

She is survived by her husband and best friend, Kenneth Shea; her son Shawn Shea; stepson Chad Shea; stepdaughter Heather Scott; her mother Marty Allan of Prescott; and three grandchildren. She is also survived by first cousins Jane and Elias Bais, George and Deborah Allan, Gilbert Osborne, Sharon and Denis Dalke, Phyllis Rheem and John Fargotstein, as well as many close second cousins. She was preceded in death by her father Dick Allan.

She was beautiful, sweet, friendly and very humorous. She enjoyed pets, gardening, reading, acrobatics, politics, horseracing and NASCAR racing. She also loved visiting Prescott with her family.

A memorial service for Candy will be 5 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2011, at Bueler Mortuary, 14 W. Hulet Drive, Chandler, Ariz. A gathering in Candy's memory will be after the memorial service at Serrano's Restaurant, 141 S. Arizona Ave., Chandler, Ariz.
