MATForce invites professionals and family members of loved ones struggling with substance abuse to a low-cost training session about Community Reinforcement and Family Training.
CRAFT is a proven successful strategy used by therapists and by families to encourage individuals to enter addiction treatment and to provide help for families with the day-to-day issues of substance abusers. It is a non-confrontational method resulting in positive outcomes for the person with the substance abuse disorder as well as the entire family. CRAFT methods are effective and easy to learn.
Dr. Raymond Anderson of the University of Arizona will present the one-day training. It will be offered on Monday, April 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at The Lodge at Cliff Castle at 333 Middle Verde Road in Camp Verde. The training will be repeated on Tuesday, April 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Prescott Resort's Arizona Room at 1500 E. State Route 60 in Prescott.
