Animal Disaster Services (ADS) is participating in a wildfire training exercise coordinated by Yavapai County Emergency Management Services on Friday, March 25. Various first-responder groups including police, fire, American Red Cross, Yavapai County Jeep Posse, ADS and Medical Reserve Corps, will be participating in this annual drill.

Persons interesting in taking part in the exercise with ADS should RSVP to 443-0547 by March 18. ADS will review evacuation procedures and shelter set-up guidelines. The location is to be revealed to participants later as part of the training exercise.

ADS, a division of Yavapai County Emergency Management Services, creates temporary shelters for animals whenever a disaster requires residents to evacuate. ADS has volunteer response teams in the Prescott, Verde Valley and Black Canyon City areas. For more information about ADS, contact Susan at 443-0547; suritelsue@cableone.net or visit www.unitedanimalfriends.org.
