Obituary: Lou Emma (Capehart) Langford

Lou Emma (Capehart) Langford, 82, of Prescott, Ariz. - a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and best friend - went to be with the Lord on March 2, 2011.

She was the loving wife of Luther Ray Langford, with whom she shared 64 years of marriage.

Born June 27, 1928, in Roanoke, Ala., she was the daughter of the late Charlie McKinley and Elizabeth Estelle (Cottle) Capehart.

She had lived in Texas from 1930 through 1963. It was on Dec. 14, 1946, she married the love of her life, Luther.

They moved to Prescott in 1963 and have been residents ever since.

She enjoyed sewing clothes for her children and grandkids and cooking, though she would never have admitted it. Gardening was one of her favorite pastimes.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughter Lu Ann Carreras and her husband Richard, and grandchildren Todd Carreras and his wife Miranda and Troy Carreras and his wife Patty. She was the great grand-mom of Merceda.

She also leaves one brother and three sisters.

Funeral services and interment will be private at the request of her family.
