Yavapai Silent Witness rewards 10 callers

The Yavapai Silent Witness board of directors awarded 10 callers a total of $2,700 in cash during a meeting on June 21.

The calls led to the arrests of 12 people on 57 felony charges, said Steve Skurja, program director of Yavapai Silent Witness.

Police seized $14,950 worth of illegal drugs, $2,350 in cash and recovered $4,680 in stolen property, Skurja said.

Officers with the Camp Verde Marshal's Office, Yavapai County Sheriff's Office, Partners Against Narcotics Trafficking and the Sedona Police Department arrested suspects in Camp Verde, Congress, Ash Fork, Prescott, Sedona, Mayer, Phoenix and Prescott Valley, Skurja said.
