PRESCOTT VALLEY - A 20-year-old man was killed when he rolled his SUV on Glassford Hill Road and was thrown from it Friday afternoon, said a police spokesman.

Riley Litchfield of Prescott Valley was driving a 2000 Toyota 4-Runner northbound on Glassford Hill near Spouse about 1:30 p.m. when it went off the road, said Sgt. Brandon Bonney, spokesman for the Prescott Valley Police Department. Litchfield steered back onto the road, but overcorrected and rolled the Toyota three times. Both Litchfield and his passenger, Jonathan Jogerst, 20, of Prescott Valley, were ejected.

Litchfield was killed.

Emergency crews found Jogerst trapped under the SUV; they lifted it off him and pulled him out. Jogerst was flown by Native Air to John C. Lincoln Medical Center in the Valley with serious injuries. At last report, he was stable.

It is not clear if either of the two men were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.

Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the crash, said Bonney, and police are still investigating what might have caused it.
