Obituary: Matthew F. Reardon III
January 25, 1930 - June 5, 2011
Matt Reardon was born in Englewood, N.J. and lived in Arizona since 1992.
He is survived by his wife Patricia; son Mark; daughters Sheila Wilcox and Pam Korzonowski; and grandchildren Sean and Keith Reardon and Kelly and Kyle Korzonowski. He was preceded in death by his first wife RoseMary Snyder and parents Matthew and Hertha Reardon.
Graduating from Knox College in 1954, Matt served in the USAF Strategic Air Command for 5 years and in the USAF Reserves for 18 years, retiring as a Major. He flew for Trans World Airways from March of 1956 to March of 1987, retiring as a line check captain at Kennedy International Airport in New York City. Matt loved flying, target shooting and travel. Matt volunteered his time to the ambulance corps in N.J. for many years and was in church organization as well as community outreach programs.
Matt enjoyed horseback riding and was an avid master gardener.
He loved his God, his family, his country and his four-legged friends. Soft landings, Matt.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 9, 2011, at Sacred Heart R.C. Church, Prescott. Internment will be at 1 p.m. at the Prescott V.A. Cemetery.
