Letter: Pancake breakfast a community success
The First Congregational Church of Prescott had its 55th annual pancake breakfast July 2. As in past years, many hundreds of Prescott Frontier Days Parade attendees and participants ate a hearty breakfast of pancakes, ham, sausage, juice and coffee to start off a very busy day.
A heartfelt thanks again goes to the scores of volunteers from First Congregational Church, the Boy Scouts and parent leaders from Troop No 1, to the Bradshaw Mountain High School cheerleaders and others from the community cupboard all who provided the labor that made this "Prescott Frontier Days" tradition a huge success.
Our thanks are also extended to the local businesses and friends who donated time, talent, foodstuffs and supplies and to the chairs of this event, John Huff and John McCurdy.
All proceeds, after expenses, were again contributed to our very own Prescott Community Cupboard Food Bank.
