Lifeline Ambulance transported one person to Yavapai Regional Medical Center with what was believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

One man was injured Monday morning in a single-vehicle collision, when he was possibly cut off by another vehicle as he was driving south on Highway 89, overcorrected, crossed the center line, and rolled down an embankment near the Phippen Museum, police said.

Lt. Tim Fletcher, spokesman for the Prescott Police Department, said emergency medical services took the driver - Michael Ruggiero, 61, of Chino Valley - to Yavapai Regional Medical Center for treatment for lacerations and some possible broken bones in his hand.

Police searched for the other vehicle, but were unable to locate it.

Ruggiero showed no signs of impairment and has not been cited in the incident, Fletcher said.
