Obituary: Mary Ann (Galloway) Howard
Mary Ann (Galloway) Howard was born in Noblesville, Ind., on Aug. 23, 1931, and went to be with the Lord on Jan. 10, 2011.
Mary Ann earned her nursing degree from Ball State University in 1952 and went on to become a nutritionist and author. She was passionate about the Lord and was instrumental in bringing the Community Bible Study for women to the Prescott area.
Mary Ann was a wife, mother, mentor and friend. Never was there a more generous and loving soul. She touched many people's lives with her warmth, compassion, concern and empathy.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Bill Howard; her daughter Juli Howard; her son Matt Howard; daughter-in-law Lissa Howard; and two granddaughters, Amber and Caleigh Howard. Mary Ann is also survived by her brother Joe and his wife Mary; her brother Jim and his wife Dee; and numerous nieces and nephews.
We love you and will always remember your love for all of us and the tremendous impact you had on so many people's lives.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011, at Humboldt Bible Church in Humboldt, Ariz. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the following organizations in Mary Ann's memory: www.mannarelief.org (oversees food assistance for underprivileged children), Prescott Christian Academy and Humboldt Bible Church.
