Woman arrested after reportedly asking passenger to 'eat or hide' drugs
A Prescott officer arrested a woman Dec. 28 after an officer stopped her for speeding along Schemmer Drive near Gail Gardner Way and learned she had a suspended driver's license. The officer booked Gabrielle E. Williams, 18, of Prescott into the county jail on charges of aggravated DUI, DUI to the slightest degree, DUI 0.08 or above, DUI drugs, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Officers noticed Williams showed signs of impairment and, as they inventoried the car before towing it, they found a baggie with marijuana between the front passenger seat and the floor, according to the police report.
Williams told the officer the marijuana was hers and that she had handed it to the front-seat passenger and told her to "eat it or hide it," according to the police report. The front seat passenger was cited and released for possession of marijuana.
