William Parsons (Bill) went to be with the Lord on Feb. 10, 2011, in Prescott, Ariz. He was born in Benham, Ky.

Bill settled in Chino Valley, Ariz., worked for many years for Ma Bell, better known now as Qwest Communications, before retiring to enjoy his "homestead" in Chino Valley.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Jean of Chino Valley, Ariz.; children, Sharon Richardson of Prescott, Ariz. and Bill Parsons Jr. of Chino Valley, Ariz.; sister Mary Wormington of Linden, Texas; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren all living in Arizona. He is very dearly loved, was highly respected and will be greatly missed.

Visitation is from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18, 2011, at Ruffner-Wakelin Funeral Home, 303 S. Cortez St., Prescott, Ariz. A service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011, at the Word of Life Assembly, 590 W. Road 1 North in Chino Valley with burial to follow at the Chino Valley Cemetery W. Road 2 South.
