Prescott police arrested a man Sunday on charges including possession of narcotic drugs after officers found a hydrocodone pill in his suitcase in a room he was staying in.
Officers doing a welfare check on a woman, found James John Rains, 44, in her apartment after he had been advised not to have contact with the victim and had been cited for criminal trespassing at her home, according to a police report.
Officers also found an empty liquor bottle with used syringes inside the same suitcase and two prescription-only muscle relaxants in his pant's pocket, and a pipe with meth residue in this pants as well.
Officer booked Rains into the Yavapai County Jail in Camp Verde on charges of possession of narcotic drugs, internal possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia and possession of prescription-only drugs.
