Officer finds scale with marijuana residue during traffic stop

An officer cited and released a man on misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia on Sunday after an officer stopped the car he drove for a cracked windshield, smelled a strong odor of alcohol, and later found a scale with marijuana residue on it inside the car.

The man told the officer the scale was his and that there was marijuana residue on it because he lent it to a cousin two weeks ago who told him he used it to weigh marijuana, according to the police report.

The officer also seized a tweezer and a straightened-out safety pin that had been burnt on one end from the car's center console, according to the police report.
