Chamber plans candidates forum

The Chino Valley Area Chamber of Commerce will be conducting a Candidates Forum for candidates for mayor and town council on Feb. 15 at Heritage Middle School on 1076 N. Road 1 West in Chino Valley.

The event will run from 6-8:30 p.m. It will include a question-and-answer format for the two candidates for mayor and then a similar session for the six candidates for Town Council. Candidates will be asked to present a self-introduction of and then will be asked to respond to questions prepared by Chamber Officials.

Questions will be in the areas of water, growth, town finances, economic development and the candidates' vision for Chino Valley. Written questions from the audience are also allowed, time permitting.

The candidates for mayor are Jim Bunker incumbent running for re-election) and Chris Marley. The six candidates running for three vacant council seats are Mike Best, Jim Conn, Darryl Croft, Charlie Marriott, Lon Turner and Donna Williams.

There is no charge to attend the Forum. This is the fourth Mayor/Council Candidates Forum presented by the Chamber. The Chamber also previously conducted a forum for school board candidates several years ago.

The mail-in election is March 8.
