Q: What service do you provide in the community?
A: "We are a bricks-and-mortar retailer of skateboards, related clothing and accessories."
Q: How did you get into this business?
A: "Seeing a market void in the Prescott area, and acting upon establishing a retail store to service a growing market with the November 2005 opening of the Mike Fann Skate Park. That was after 20 years in product development for brands in the surf, snow and skate industry."
Q: What's the key to your business longevity?
A: "Working every day and listening to the customer to adapt to changing product tastes and wants in a tough and demanding economy."
Q: What's the best business advice you've given and received?
A: "Buy a third of the product you like, buy a third that the customer asks for, and buy a third the industry brands predict the customer will want. That was given to me and I pass it on."
Q: What's something unique about you?
A: "I have owned a classic 1964 356C Porsche for the past 24 years."
Q: What's something unique about your store?
A: "We are one of a handful of shops in the country that has had Go Skateboarding Day - June 21st - proclaimed as a day by their city."
