Letter: Patients, not public, pay for abortions

Editor:

Regarding Planned Parenthood, there is NO funding for abortions! I challenge any one of you myth-spreaders to call Planned Parenthood and make an appointment for an abortion. The first thing they do is give you a price (approximately $450) and tell you to bring cash or a money order. No exceptions. So, please folks, quit spreading myths and reporting rumors.

And Planned Parenthood does many more things besides provide abortions. It has saved many women's lives, catching things such as cervical cancer very early. They educate people on birth control methods and on planning a family one day.

As for the people lining the street by the new Planned Parenthood location in Prescott Valley, I'd like to know how many of them support the death penalty. The excuse I always hear is that "abortion is murder, and murder is murder." Well, using that logic, they should also be against the death penalty, because murder is murder, right?

Also, how many of the protesters are willing to adopt and/or assist these unwanted babies? Very few, judging by the hypocrisy displayed in the letters I've seen recently in the Courier.

Plain and simple, get your facts straight, folks - nobody pays for abortions except the unfortunate woman who has to go through that life-changing experience.
