Lance Aaron Gaefcke

Lance Aaron Gaefcke, only son of Robert and Susan Gaefcke and youngest sibling of three children, passed away at age 40 on Sunday, Aug. 21, 2011, at 1:30 a.m.

Lance loved all outdoor sports, boating, fishing, water-skiing, jet skiing, deep-sea fishing, baseball, and was an avid motorcycle and dirt bike rider.

His surviving son, Cameron Gaefcke, just recently won the State Championship for racing, and his surviving daughter Rachelle Gaefcke, 21, is attending college and is also a very proud parent of Lance's only grandchild, 2-year-old Hayden.

Lance was a very generous person, always trying the best he could to help out other people less fortunate. Lance loved life. He was always smiling, laughing and constantly doting on his grandson Hayden. Lance worked for numerous years at Prescott Precision as an aerospace machinist.

The rest of his surviving family are his sister Dawna Gaefcke-Parcells and brother-in-law Chris Parcells, along with his oldest sister Robin Gaefcke-Berliew and her husband Gene Berliew; nephews Mason Gaefcke and Chris Parcells; and niece Natalie Polson.

Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26, 2011, with the celebration of his life starting at 7 p.m. at the Arizona Wakelin Bradshaw Chapel, 8480 E. Valley Road, Prescott Valley. Any donations in Lance's memory would be greatly appreciated, and may be sent to Robert or Susan Gaefcke-Berliew at P.O. Box 1418, Mayer AZ 86333.

His giving and loving spirit will be missed, but will always live on in our hearts forever!
