Monday crash at Hwy 69 and StoneRidge sends 6 to hospitals
An evening three vehicle accident Monday on Highway 69 at StoneRidge sent six people to hospitals.
Prescott Valley Police spokesperson Jennifer Miller said officers responded to the crash at 7:05 p.m.
According to the investigation at the scene, Miller said, a white 1991 Chevrolet pickup truck driven by 55-year-old Terri Dannen of Prescott Valley was traveling eastbound on Highway 69 when she failed to stop for a red light. She struck a dark-colored 2006 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by 46-year-old Marcie Madsen of Prescott Valley.
Madsen was making a southbound turn onto StoneRidge Drive from Highway 69 at the time of the collision. The force of the crash caused her vehicle to roll. Her vehicle then came to rest against a third vehicle that was northbound on StoneRidge Drive at the time.
Miller said the crash injured six people. Emergency personnel flew two individuals to Flagstaff Medical Center, and airlifted a 9-year-old child to Phoenix Children's Hospital. Emergency workers listed all of the airlifted patients in serious conditions. Three other individuals received treatment at Yavapai Regional Medical Center's East Campus.
This traffic crash is still under investigation by the Prescott Valley Police Department's Traffic Division, Miller said.
