Obituary: Genevieve Ann Pretto

Genevieve Ann Pretto, 84, passed away peacefully on Aug. 3, 2011, after a brief illness.

Genevieve was the fourth-oldest of five children born to Arthur Frank and Irene Mulloy, and spent her early years in the Chicago suburb of Oak Park.

Genevieve married Everett on Sept. 28, 1946, in St Charles, Ill. They shared their lives together in the Chicago area, in Orange, Calif., and in Apple Valley, Calif. In later years, the city of Prescott, Ariz., offered enjoyment and peace.

Genevieve loved spending time with her family and extended family. She adored her grandson Aaron and would spend hours relating to him stories of the family. She had studied music and was coached vocally at an early age.

Genevieve was preceded in death by her husband Everett John Pretto; brothers Ronald Mulloy, Miles Mulloy, George Mulloy and Jerome Mulloy; and her son Ronald Frank Pretto. She is survived by her daughter Patricia Ann Horn; her sons Thomas John Pretto, John Everett Pretto and James Robert Pretto; and her grandson, Aaron Thomas Albright.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2011, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 150 Fleury Ave. in Prescott.
