The ladies of Cordes Lakes called their annual luncheon the Spring Fling - and filled the decor with butterflies and rainbows.

Centerpieces included a teapot on each table, along with a basket of assorted flavored teas. Annie Wales did a great job on the programs, which were at each place setting, along with a small basket of jelly beans and mints, with a small umbrella.

Phyllis Willman welcomed the crowd, and Trish Rasmussen provided the invocation. Young ladies from the Spring Ridge Academy served the meals of chicken wraps - chicken, apples and grapes mixed in mayonnaise base and placed in a flour tortilla. This was accompanied by penne pasta salad, dressed in a light oil with olives and carrots. Dessert was cookies and scones with lemon curd.

The entertainment portion included a fashion show with five of the ladies modeling several outfits. They did a fantastic job, as each chose the clothes they wanted to model. They also picked out shoes and accessories. Some outfits were sporty, with others being very dressy. The afternoon ended with the clothes on the rack available for sale.
