Professionals and family members are invited to a low cost training designed to help the families of loved ones struggling with substance abuse called Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT).
CRAFT is a strategy used by therapists and families to encourage individuals to enter addiction treatment and provide help for families with the day-to-day issues of substance abusers. It is a non-confrontational method resulting in positive outcomes for the person abusing substances as well as the entire family. CRAFT methods are effective and easy to learn.
Dr. Raymond Anderson of Arizona State University will present the one-day training from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. April 25 at The Lodge at Cliff Castle located at 333 Middle Verde Road in Camp Verde.
The training will be repeated from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. April 26 at the Prescott Resort's Arizona Room at 1500 E. State Route 69 in Prescott.
