PRESCOTT VALLEY - The eighth annual Eggstravaganza Easter egg hunt and the Family Arts Festival will take place Saturday on the Civic Center grounds.

The Eggstravaganza will feature three age-specific egg hunts beginning at 11 a.m. The first ones will be for ages 2 to 4 and 5 to 7.

The two egg hunts will take place in separate areas at the same time.

The final egg hunt will occur at 11:20 a.m. for children ages 8 to 10.

When they're not hunting for eggs, the kids can jump in a bounce house, visit the petting zoo or get their pictures taken with Little Bo Peep and Mr. Bunny.

The family arts fest will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and will culminate in an auction of artfully painted chairs. For the auction, student teams from throughout the Humboldt Unified School District painted Disney characters and themes on household furniture.

Donations from the auction will benefit the Visual Arts Scholarship Fund at Bradshaw Mountain High School.

The event also will feature hands-on activities, student art and food booths. The town's Arts and Culture Commission and the school district sponsor the arts fest.
