Prescott man arrested on assault charges
Prescott police booked Anthony John Clark into the county jail on March 28 on charges of two counts of aggravated assault and one count of burglary in the 2nd degree after he told officers he hit a man in the body.
At 6:31 p.m., officers spoke at Yavapai Regional Medical Center's west campus with a man whose nose was bleeding, red and swollen and who had red marks on his head and on the side of his torso, according to the police report.
The man told them that Clark, 19, of Prescott forced his way into his home, punched and kicked him in the face, head, and upper body because Clark allegedly owed him money and he had asked Clark for the money many times, according to the police report.
Police found Clark a day later, arrested him and brought Clark back to the police station where he threatened officers and refused to make a statement without his lawyer present, according to the police report.
When an officer told Clark, the man's nose was broken, Clark said, "I don't know how his nose got broke. I don't remember hitting him in the face. I only hit him in the body. That's my style. I like to work the body," in front of three officers, according to the police report.
