Man arrested on aggravated DUI, drug possession charges
Prescott police booked Thor Rex Conley into the county jail April 4 on charges of aggravated DUI, DUI drugs, DUI to the slightest degree possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
At 6:30 p.m., an officer saw the car Conley was driving cross the double yellow line and go into the opposite lane of the road near the 100 block of Navajo Drive, according to the police report.
As the officer spoke to Conley, 48, of Prescott, he noticed Conley had red, watery, bloodshot eyes, and learned he had a suspended driver's license, according to the police report.
When the officer asked Conley if he knew his license was suspended, Conley said he did, but was just returning a rented movie, according to the police report. Field sobriety tests indicated that Conley was impaired, and before the officer searched the car, Conley handed him a pipe that the officer noticed had burnt marijuana residue in it, according to the police report.
Another officer found a metal container with marijuana residue inside the car and a red rock pipe with a useable amount of marijuana inside, according to the police report.
Conley told the officers that both items belonged to him and that the last time he'd smoked marijuana had been over a week ago, according to the police report.
Back at the police station, Conley's urine flashed positive for marijuana, according to the police report.
