What more can you say about the Great Potato Dinner than that it was - GREAT!

For only $5 we were provided with a huge potato and turned loose to top it to our personal tastes. Toppings included chili, cheese, onions and even different soups (yes, they were thick and good on the potato).

The meal started with salad and ended with rainbow sherbet. And while we ate, our local musicians kept us entertained.

The decorations were Cordes Lakes' own version of Mr. Potato Head. Each member of the Tuesday Club was encouraged to take a potato home to decorate and bring to the dinner for a table decoration.

Imaginations went wild and some of the cutest potatoes on earth returned to the center.

The hilarious happy characters ranged from bikini-clad to full wedding attire, and from patriotic to spooky. All the centerpiece potatoes wore smiles and drew smiles from the gathered potato aficionados.

Tuesday Club always could use new ideas, so join us in our event planning each Tuesday morning at 9 a.m. at the Cordes Lakes Community Center.
