Obituary: John Brockway Peck

John Brockway Peck passed away Sept. 8, 2010, in Prescott Valley, Ariz. He was born Jun 11, 1927, in Oklahoma City, Okla., to Rutherford B. and Minnie B. Peck, and was a longtime resident in the Prescott Valley area.

He was married for 59 years and is survived by his wife Ina Rae Peck. He is also survived by Robert and Laura Peck, son and daughter-in-law of Colorado; Karen and Joe Kinney, daughter and son-in-law of Nevada; grandchildren Justin Peck of Washington, Nathan Ament of Colorado, Tamra and Nikos Hollis of Colorado, Mark Alexander of Arizona, Jennifer Alexander of Arizona; and great-grandchildren Emmalee Peck, Evan Peck and Jaci Joyner. He was preceded in death by his sister Bernice A. Mullany and his brother Harold J. Peck.

Mr. Peck was a career educator, coach and administrator for 36 years. He taught in Colorado, Oklahoma and Arizona and touched many young lives. He loved to travel and RV and was passionate about sports. He was a veteran of the Army during WWII.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 17, 2010, at Sunrise Funeral Home Chapel, 8167 E. Highway 69 in Prescott Valley, Ariz. Burial will be in Oklahoma City. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the American Lung Association of Arizona, 102 W. McDowell Road, Phoenix, AZ 85003.
