"Working the West," the Phippen Museum's new exhibit that celebrates the life of the working cowboy as seen through the eyes of renowned Western artists who captured this vanishing culture on the ranches of the American West, opens Nov. 6. A members' preview will take place at an opening reception from 5 to 7 p.m. on Nov. 5. Members will be admitted free and guests for $10. The museum has scheduled a special exhibition and sale featuring the work of J. Mark Kohler Dec. 4-Dec. 31 and Cowboy Christmas from Nov. 30 through Dec. 23, when visitors will be able to shop the museum's store. The museum is located at 4701 Highway 89 North, just north of Prescott.
