Robert Ronald Gordon passed away on Nov. 11, 2010, in a Prescott nursing facility following a brief illness. Bob was born in Redondo Beach, Calif., on Dec. 8, 1924.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the South Pacific where he saw action including his own ship being bombed.

Following the war, Bob was a 60-year member of the Teamsters Union with most of his employment being in southern California.

Bob moved to Prescott in 1994 from Bellflower, Calif., following the death of his first wife, Elaine Benson Gordon. Fishing, traveling, woodworking and helping his family were among his hobbies.

Bob is survived by his wife Jean Kurtz Gordon; daughters, Sandra McDaniel and Shelley Medina; granddaughters, Rosanna and Sara; and great grandson, Connor. He also has two stepdaughters, Kay Larson Lindgren and Gwen Doty.

On Saturday, Nov. 20, the family is planning an open house to celebrate Bob's life. Friends and family are invited to attend from 1 to 4 p.m. at the family home.

Heritage Memory Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.
