Obituary: Don Eaves

Don Eaves, 84, went to meet his Lord and Savior on May 24, 2010. He was born in Waterloo, Ala., Feb. 10, 1926, to Dewey and Alpha (Craven) Eaves.

He leaves behind his wife, Rose, of 59 1/2 years; his children, Dennis (Kay), Patty Hall (John), David (Sheri), Daniel, Penny Hejtmanek (Rich), Dewey (Dottie), Peggy Miller (Tim), and Douglas; 16 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Shelby Barcus and Bonnie Luney; and brothers L.L. and Kenneth.

He worked as a truck driver for George Martin Trucking (21 years) and Mundall Trucking (22 years) and retired Feb. 1, 1991.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 29, 2010, at First Baptist Church, 12791 E. Main, Mayer, Ariz., with Pastor John Ott officiating.

He was loved by his family and will be greatly missed. His family request memorial contributions be made to his church, First Baptist Church in Mayer, Ariz.
