Man arrested on charges of child molestation
Prescott police arrested a man on charges including three counts of molestation of a child after receiving a call about possible sex crimes against several alleged victims occurring over a period of time.
Officers booked Ralph Carl Bluemke, 69, of Prescott Valley into Camp Verde jail on charges of three counts of molestation of a child, three counts of sexual conduct with a minor, and three counts of continuous sexual abuse of a child.
The accusers, who were between the ages of 7 and 17 years old when the acts allegedly occurred, told officers that Bluemke babysat them from time to time, said Sgt. Brandon Bonney, spokesman for the Prescott Valley Police Department. The accusers allege that Bluemke had direct sexual contact with them about 100 times, starting about eight years ago, Bonney said.
Bluemke did not speak much with investigators during an interview, authorities said.
The Prescott Valley Police Department encourages anyone who may have left children in Bluemke's care or anyone who may have been victimized by him to contact Prescott Valley Police Detective D. Oen by phone at (928) 772-5167 or by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If someone discloses molestation or other abuse to you, pass along the information to the appropriate authorities, because crimes need to be investigated, and the victims must receive appropriate support, Bonney said.
