Obituary: Gertrude Eleanor "Trudy" Boyd
Gertrude Eleanor "Trudy" Boyd, 90, of Chino Valley, Ariz., passed away July 13, 2010, at Family Care Hospice in Prescott, Ariz. Trudy was born June 23, 1920, in Wilder, Vt.
Through the years, Trudy loved to sew, knit, crochet, paint, dance and work in her yard. She also loved to perform as Truda-Bella the clown and with an Old West group, The Bravados. She attended the Country Gospel Church in Landers, Calif., until moving to Arizona.
Trudy was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, James T. Boyd; a daughter, Sherlynn, and her parents, Raymond K. and Mary E. (Martin) Lambert and her stepfather Amie S. Hall. She is survived by six of her seven children, Tim (Cooki) Boyd of Chino Valley, Keith (Bernadette) Boyd of St. Albans, Vt., Lance (Cathy) Boyd of Sun City, Calif., Mickey (Rhonda) Boyd of Blacksburg, Va., James C. (Cheryl) Boyd of Landers, Calif., Liane (Gene) Boyd Persall of Shelter Cove, Calif.; her only sister, Elaine C. (Hall) and Uldric W. Jarvis and family; 27 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be private with the family.
