Grants To You gets $4,000 from Wells Fargo Foundation
Grants To You (GTU), a locally-based national nonprofit, announced that the Wells Fargo Foundation has recognized its work helping communities by awarding GTU $4,000.
This is the third award the nonprofit has received from Wells Fargo, with the first two totaling $9,000 coming from Wells Fargo Community Partners. The money will be used to update the GTU online grant research and writing class for volunteers/beginners.
The Yavapai County chapter of GTU recently received a $750 award from the Prescott Evening Lions. The Lions have been providing support to the local chapter since 2003, and its awards total $10,000. This money will be used to support chapter activities to assure that the highest-quality classes are provided and that the community is aware of the training for volunteers who have a desire to help their local nonprofits with their grant research and writing.
Locally, GTU has two chapters: one serving Yavapai County offering live classes every three months and one serving northern Arizona providing an online class available 24/7 to volunteers only. More information about GTU and its classes is available on its website at grantstoyou.org.
The next Yavapai County class will be in two sessions on July 22 and 29. See the website for registration and information.
