Obituary: Ramona Willman Duval
Ramona Willman Duval passed away Jan. 14, 2010, at the age of 94. She departed this life just as she walked through it: quietly and peacefully. Ramona was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Arthur Duval.
Ramona was a native Arizonan, born and raised in the small town of Clarkdale. After high school, Ramona moved to Tucson where she attended the University of Arizona. While in Tucson, Ramona met and married her lifelong spouse, Clyde Arthur Duval. Ramona and Clyde moved to Prescott where they enjoyed over 40 years together. Clyde worked at Sam Hill Hardware Store, while Ramona was employed by Yavapai County Welfare Office as a social worker.
Ramona was a true lady. She was kind and gentle, and never spoke harshly to or about anyone. Ramona was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church for many years. She enjoyed people and was a wonderful hostess. Ramona always had a crowd on the 4th of July where people gathered on her porch to enjoy the parade.
Thank you to the employees of Pine Crest Adult Care Home who made sure Ramona's final years were abundant and peaceful. Thank you, Butch Hampton, for handling Ramona's final arrangements.
A Celebration of Life will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010, at the Victorian Chapel of Hampton Funeral Home, 240 S. Cortez St., Prescott, Ariz. Ramona will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Clyde, at Mt. View Cemetery, Prescott. In lieu of flowers, Ramona requested that donations be made to a charitable organization of choice.
