Man arrested after allegedly pointing gun at 3 people

Prescott police arrested a man on Jan. 1 after he pointed a gun at three people outside a trailer, a police spokesman said.

Prescott police booked Paul Robert Koch, 25, of Chino Valley into the Camp Verde jail on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, prohibited possessor possessing a deadly weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia and use/possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony.

At 11:47 p.m., Prescott police officers responded to a call about a man who pointed a handgun at a woman, her husband and another man outside a trailer in the 500 block of Copper Basin Road, said Lt. Clayton Heath, spokesman for the Prescott Police Department.

The woman told police her husband went to the trailer to confront Koch about an incident earlier that evening. When Koch exited his car, he hit the hood of the woman's vehicle and made references to the Aryan Brotherhood.

The woman told police she and her husband drove to the trailer park in separate vehicles and when she arrived she saw Koch pointing a gun at her husband and another man.

After the woman stood in front of Koch, he drew the gun closer to his body still pointing it at her and then lowered it to the ground, according to the police report.

The woman told police when Koch and his girlfriend Christina Gabler returned inside the trailer, she heard Gabler calling someone believed to be in the Aryan Brotherhood and giving this person her husband's name. So the woman went back to her trailer and called police.

Police investigating the incident found a handgun in the toilet tank, two bindles with white residue, and an empty cell phone box with marijuana residue, according to the police report.

Gabler told police the gun was not inside the trailer at first, but later told police she knew Koch had brought the gun inside.

Gabler also told officers she'd used cocaine and marijuana the day before.

Prescott police booked Gabler into the Camp Verde jail on charges of hindering prosecution in the first degree, internal possession of a dangerous drug, use/possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony and possession of drug paraphernalia.
