World-famous Native American artist at Sharlot Hall
Baje Whitethorne, an internationally acclaimed Native American artist, exhibits "The Spirits of Color and Light" Feb. 27 to April 1 at Sharlot Hall Museum. The exhibit is part of the museum's, "PAINT! Breaking the Buckskin Ceiling," artist series.
Whitethorne displays 20 pieces including oils, watercolors and bronze works.
In 1984, Whitethorne created a poster for the Museum of Northern Arizona's annual Navajo Art Show. After the poster received international attention, demand for his work skyrocketed from museums and collectors.
