Raymond L. McKenzie

Raymond L. McKenzie, 81, formerly of Dewey, Ariz., passed away peacefully at his home on Jan. 24, 2010. He was born in Michigan on Jan. 1, 1929.

Raymond was a veteran of World War II. He was in the upholstery business and a member of the First Southern Baptist Church, and American Legion. He loved the outdoors and had wonderful interests, such as horseback riding, fishing, woodcutting, hunting and rebuilding old tractors.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Anita; his seven children, Jim McKenzie, Michelle (Alfred) Rios, Diane (Andy) Mortagne, Orville (Sheila) McKenzie, Janelle (Ryan) Burson, Jennifer (Martin) Jara and Kristy (Jeremy) Ulmer; three stepdaughters, Glenda, Cindy and Bonnie; 26 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and a stepdaughter, Deanna Sue Palmer.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 6, 2010, at the First Southern Baptist Church in Dewey.
