Letter: Thanks to Military Monument donors

Editor:

The Prescott Valley Military Service Committee held a groundbreaking ceremony on Nov. 11, 2009 at the monument site at the Civic Center in Prescott Valley. The event was a huge success and a great time was had by all.

The committee would like to give our sincere thanks to those who supported this event in so many ways. We would like to give special recognition to the following individuals and groups: Bradshaw Mountain High School choir, Director Katie Rueter; Mayor Harvey Skoog and the PV town council; Adrienna Racine; Post 6 American Legion Honor Guard; Greg Galpin and Chuck McCoy for the "Flyover;" employees of the Town of PV; Carm Staker; Gary Simon; Bob Davis, Doug Keller and members of the PV Military Service Monument committee.

Thanks also to Costco, Albertsons, Sam's Club, Safeway, Coca Cola and Fry's; Prescott Newspapers and Arizona's Hometown Radio Group.

Please forgive me if I missed anyone. You were appreciated and you certainly contributed to the success of our ceremony.

Construction has begun on the monument and we want to thank SPE for their assistance, and Peter Bourgois of BMA for leading us through the many steps we have had to take. Thanks to KLER construction for their help. We could not have reached this point without the support of our community.
