Obituary: Ila Jane Kirbie

(Ila) Jane Kirbie, 75 years old, went to be with her Lord Dec. 26, 2010. She was born Feb. 22, 1935 in Forth Worth, Texas, spending most of her life in Chino Valley and Prescott, Ariz.

Jane was Sunday School Secretary/Treasure of Prescott First Assembly of God Church for many years and later transferred her membership to the Chino Valley Word of Life when her health began to fail. She spent many mornings at the Iron Horse Café meeting her friends and back again at 4 p.m. for afternoon coffee. She was an avid reader and enjoyed working in school libraries. Jane graduated from Technical High School Fort Worth, Texas 1953.

She was proceeded in death by her husband Leon Kirbie; mother Mattie Briegal; brother, Edwin Robertson; sister, Mae Wass. She is survived by sons, Daryl of Prescott and Galen (Toni) of Fort Davis, Texas; brother, James Robertson (Cheka) of Tucson; sister, Dessa Bundt (Larry) of Deer Lodge, Mont.; and brother Bud Beckham (Betty) of Golden Valley, Ariz.; grandchildren, Ashley Kirbie Young and Wesley Kirbie; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010, from noon to 1 p.m. followed by funeral service at 1 p.m. at the Word of Life Church in Chino Valley. Graveside services to follow at Chino Valley Cemetery.
