The Coalition for Compassion and Justice (CCJ) received a grant from First Things First to provide consistent, healthful food to young children of families struggling financially. CCJ ensures that the food distributed by their program is balanced and nutritious, avoiding cheap, energy-dense but nutritionally empty foods.
