Henningsen named to Crown King school board
Yavapai County School Superintendent Tim Carter appointed Margaret Henningsen to the Crown King Elementary School District Governing Board.
The appointment will take effect Jan. 1, 2011, and will expire Dec. 31, 2012. This seat was unfilled because only two candidates filed for the November election for the three expiring positions available.
Henningsen has been a resident in the district since 1990 and has lived in the community full-time since 2000. She is a former employee of the school. She attended high school and nursing school in Massachusetts.
"Mrs. Henningsen's experience as a parent, her background in nursing and her previous work with the school should serve her well in this new position," Carter said. "She is certainly dedicated to what is best for the district and the students. Mrs. Henningsen understands the role of the Governing Board and will work to balance the needs of students, parents, staff and the taxpayer."
