Forest plan meeting this Tuesday
The Prescott National Forest is conducting a public forum in Prescott Tuesday to update people on its management planning process and hear comments and questions.
The meeting takes place from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Prescott Adult Center, 1280B E. Rosser St.
Forest officials are working on a new management plan to guide forest activities.
After providing a short overview in a group setting, the event will move to an "open house" setting where people can talk one-on-one with forest officials about vegetation, fire, recreation and potential wilderness, open space and scenery, watershed health, and fish and wildlife.
To see the third working draft of the new plan, go to the forest's website at www.fs.fed.us/r3/Prescott. Click on "Projects and Plans," then click on the word "more" under "Forest Plan Revision," then click on "Revised Forest Plan Draft 3 for informal review."
