Professional Writers meet Wednesday

Jim Natal and Tania Baban, co-founders of the custom publisher, Conflux Press, will explore the self-publishing option and discuss what authors need to know about getting their books into print at the Professional Writers of Prescott meeting Wednesday.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the Founders Suite of the Prescott Public Library.

Natal, a poet, and Baban, a book artist/graphic designer, founded Conflux Press in 2004. They publish trade books, printed and handmade chapbooks and handmade limited-edition artist's books. Natal teaches creative writing and directs the Literary Southwest series at Yavapai College.

Baban owns Atelier Baban, an art and design studio specializing in handmade invitations and greeting cards.

During networking at 6 p.m., author and Prescott College English instructor Nancy Owen Nelson will lead a discussion on poetry.
