Obituary: William "Carl" Reynolds

William "Carl" Reynolds went home to be with the Lord on April 8, 2010. He was born Dec. 27, 1917, in Andersonville, Tenn.

He was a World War II veteran in the U.S. Army. In 1946, he moved to Phoenix, Ariz., where he met Elaine Haas at a dance in 1948. They were united in marriage on Dec. 29, 1948. Having worked for Reynolds Metals for 35 years, he retired in 1980.

He is survived by Elaine, his wife of 62 years; five children and their spouses; 11 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

A memorial service will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 17, 2010, at Melcher's Mission Chapel in Mesa, Ariz., (480) 832-3500.
